Integration into Aircraft Media Systems
- DOM dramatically improves sound quality and in-flight satisfaction of in-flight earbuds.-
The sound engine DOM can be integrated relatively easily into the media terminals provided in aircraft seats.
In airplanes, where passengers spend long hours, sophisticated media effects using the world's most advanced algorithms and formulas dramatically improve the sound quality of all content, including music, radio, movies, and various programs, thereby enhancing user satisfaction.
Headphones and earbuds distributed in-flight are different from high-end earbuds because they are designed for users to take home with them. DOM can dramatically improve sound quality without any hardware updates on the system.
(Experimented with earphones distributed in airplanes)
Benefits on the end-user side of using the media system with DOM in place
The headphones distributed on airplanes can provide a sound quality experience equivalent to that of airPods earphones, which have a market price of $400, so we assume that earphones costing less than $10 will be distributed on airplanes. Therefore, the price value can be increased by a factor of 40 or more.
Note; The sound quality of the earphones is better than that of the airPods, which is the conclusion reached by collecting the voices of the test subjects who have actually listened to the sound.
Benefits for companies that implement DOM
The new earphones will provide a higher level of service in the limited in-flight space. Users of earphones, whether on domestic or international flights, have a very high demand for earphones. If the sound quality could be dramatically improved with a single software update, it would give the company a strong competitive edge in the market.
Software updates within the entertainment system can provide a high user experience, and the addition of new presets as needed can create an environment that keeps users coming back for more. Just as content is constantly updated, “sound quality” content can also be updated as needed due to IT.
